Humble Beginnings, Big Impact
Strack Construction is a name that earns respect, wherever we go. But, it wasn’t always that way. From a small, two-person operation to a thriving business serving the entirety of the Upper Midwest, our path has been anything but straightforward. Through it all, we’ve kept the customer experience front and center, making sure that your expectations aren’t just met – they’re exceeded.

1938
Strack Construction Is Formed
In 1938 father and son, Joseph and Don, started Strack and Son Construction after Don came out of the service. They served a variety of residential and commercial clients.
1948
A New Start
Don Strack purchasesd the company from his father, Joseph, ushering a new era for Strack Construction.
1952
New Services
With the market changing, Strack Construction dissolved it's residential construction crew, focusing on meeting the needs of commercial property owners.
1963
Welcome Home!
With business rapidly growing, it was time to invest in a home of our own. A new office was built at 1139 Franklin Ave., Sauk Rapids.
1978
The Next Generation
Don Strack's son, Bob, joined the business full time after graduating from college, making him the third generation of the Strack family to work for the company.
1982
A New Buisness Model
Bob Strack purchased the company from his father, Don. Tired of the rat race of chasing bids at the expense of client care, Bob changed the business format to focus on primarily negotiated private contracts.
2003
The Legacy Continues
Fourth generation family member Matt Strack, joined the company full time after working in the business during the summers.
2004
Our Team Expands
John Nack joined the company, helping to shoulder the day to day operations and streamline our process.
2012
A New Leadership Team
John Nack is named Chief Operating Officer and Matt Strack is named company Vice President.
2013
Happy Birthday, Strack!
Strack celebrated 75 years in business by moving into new office headquarters.
2017
A Dynamic Duo
Matt Strack and John Nack took over leadership, envisioning a bright future for Strack and its employees.

Where We Are Today
Strack moved to its current office headquarters, perfectly built to house our team of construction experts.
